for the first iteration of the print+online publication, Detritus invites you to think of the petrochemical immortality of plastic - its agency, and its temporality in the so-called anthropocene. This open call for print+online was primarily inspired by the books ‘Dalit Ecologies’ by Mukul Sharma, ‘On Extinction’ by Ben Ware, and ‘Crude Capitalism’ by Adam Hanieh. 

We welcome proposals (max 250 words) across literary genres, with a particular focus on autotheory, theory-fiction, and speculative registers.
